GOODBYE IMPRESSION PASTE
Until recently, there were no alternatives: to take the impression of the patient's mouth there was only progressive hardening paste. Unfortunately, there are still cases where you can't do without it. However, when possible, we have another possibility that allows us to obtain a similar result in a less invasive way.
Thanks to a cutting-edge equipment, which uses light and a small intraoral camera, we are able to quickly track a digital scan of the mouth.
With the optical impression, in a few minutes we get an exact replica of the inside of the oral cavity that we can see in color 3D on the computer monitor and that allows us to incredibly speed up the workflow: once reworked, the file is transmitted almost instantly to the laboratory accompanied by precise instructions.
With the optical impression, you avoid all the inconveniences connected with the use of pasta and you gain the great advantages offered by the digital medium. First of all, the possibility of orderly archiving the materials, keeping the diagnostic imaging of each patient in a single file that can always be consulted.
Waiting for the day when it can be completely archived, we are increasingly reducing the use of impression paste in favor of the optical impression.
