CONE BEAM COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHY

3D RADIOGRAPHY

There are those who mistakenly call it CT but this association, although a little imprecise, makes the idea of the functionality of CBCT, which today for the DentalbreraClinic team has become a fundamental diagnostic tool especially when it is necessary to plan surgery and implantology.
Like the CT, the Cone Beam Computerized Tomography "looks" inside our body by translating what it sees into three-dimensional images, thanks to a particular type of cone-shaped X-ray (cone beam) and with lower doses of radiation issued compared to a conventional tomography.

The CBCT provides the dentist with a 3D photograph of the volumes of the skull and its parts that allows him to do an analysis of the teeth and roots, as well as bones and joints of the mouth, and also to evaluate the cavities: a type investigation that goes beyond the limits of two-dimensional radiography.

That's why, when we decided to renovate the studio, we provided a shielded room (for the protection of patients but also of employees) intended to house this important machine inside our premises.

A significant investment that cannot be renounced: thanks to this tool, we can simulate each phase of the surgery in advance by using dedicated software that allows us to design and print a surgical guide to be placed in the mouth during the actual surgery. We will thus be able to precisely identify the correct positioning of the implants without the possibility of error, containing invasiveness.

For the patient this translates into even more careful surgery, shorter interventions and fewer post-operative complications.
