ANESTHESIA AND SEDATION

STOP PAIN AND ANXIETY WITHOUT CONTRAINDICATIONS

Once again, technology helps us to "lighten" the delicate phase of anesthesia. For simple local anesthesia, which affects a limited area of the mouth, in addition to the traditional technique, we rely whenever possible on a new generation computer-assisted system that measures and controls the delivery of the anesthetic.

In this way, the patient does not perceive the pain of the injection and does not experience the tingling sensation on the lips, tongue and face typical of old-fashioned anesthesia.

If, however, the anxiety should be felt, we can combine an anxiolysis with local anesthesia: a dose of intravenous relaxing drugs is sufficient to face the chair with serenity. Relaxation can go as far as light sleep, thanks to the presence of a specialized anesthesiologist, who practices a conscious sedation procedure. The patient loses track of time and does not remember what happened during the surgery while maintaining his level of consciousness unchanged.

In practice, conscious sedation eliminates all the negativities of the surgical experience, without the problems and risks resulting from a total anesthesia.
